What is fractions, decimals and percentages ?

Fraction
·         How many parts of a whole
·         Examples :



Decimal
·         A decimal number (based on the number 10) contains a Decimal Point.
·         A decimal is a fraction that is written in the form of a dot followed by one or more numbers which represent tenths, hundredths, and so on.
·         Examples :
 


Percentage
·         A percentage is a number or ratio that represents a fraction of 100.


·         It is often denoted by the symbol "%" or simply as "percent".
·         For example, 35% is equivalent to the decimal 0.35, or the fraction 35/100.




Fractions, Decimals and Percentage (F.D.P)
·         Fractions, decimals and percentage are closely related.
·         Decimals are another way of writing fraction.
·         Percentage are another way of writing hundredths.
